Hankook Tire to Serve as Exclusive Tire Supplier for Car Warriors Season Two

Second Season of Popular SPEED Network Program to Showcase Hankook's Leading Tire Products


Wayne, NJ, February 22, 2012 - Hankook Tire today announced that it will again be the exclusive tire supplier for the upcoming season of Car Warriors. The show, returning for a second season this Friday, February 24th at 10 p.m. ET, will feature Hankook's tires in its ultimate car building competition which pits two of the country's most talented and colorful local garages in a 48-hour race to build an entire custom car.

Tune-in to watch as two teams battle each other in a no holds barred, head-to-head build off, where only one will come out victorious. Following the season opener of Car Warriors, episodes can be seen weekly each Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET on SPEED, beginning with episode two on February 29th.

Jimmy Shine, lead builder at California's famous So-Cal Speed Shop, will host this season and also use his 30-plus years in the custom car building, tuning and racing world to judge what's hot and what's not, and which team will be going home winners. Industry experts Ray McClelland and Brad Fanshaw have joined the show this year and will each be assigned to a team to provide guidance and build assistance.

Hankook's continued involvement in Car Warriors is an integral part of its ongoing marketing and brand awareness efforts. In addition to Car Warriors, the Hankook brand can be seen in print, web and broadcast advertising, court-side at men's and women's college basketball games, behind home plate at 26 Major League Baseball (MLB) parks across the country, in New York City on Hankook's Times Square billboard, and at motorsports events such as the Formula Drift racing series.
