Car Warriors TV show On Speed Network to Showcase Hankook Tires

  • New television show Car Warriors first episode debuts on Wednesday, February 23rd with Hankook as tire provider.

February 22, 2011 (Wayne, NJ) - On Wednesday, February 23 at 9 pm ET tune-in as two teams go head-to-head to build the coolest and most unique one-off hotrods on Speed network's new show Car Warriors. Hankook Tire America will supply the tires for the cars, while a seventy two hour 'build time' will provide all the motivation the teams need.

Wednesday's episode pits two teams made up of today's most talented and colorful car builders against each other to see exactly who has the skills, and who doesn't, to build a custom car that impresses the show's panel of judges. And the judges definitely know a thing or two about car building, they're industry legends!

The Car Warrior judges each have their own impressive background and know more than just a thing or two about cool rides:

George Barris - Known as 'The King of the Customizers' George is celebrated as the builder of the original Batmobile and Green Hornet, The Munster Koach and The Beverly Hillbillies jalopy. His recent work includes a custom built Toyota Prius commissioned by The New York Times and a one-off 2010 Camaro for General Motors.

Jimmy Shine - Star of the television show Hard Shine and lead fabricator at the world famous Co-Cal Speed Shop, Jimmy's work has been featured in Popular Hot Rodding, Speedhunter and Rod & Custom magazine. Jimmy isn't just a builder either, he's also a racer and member of Utah's Bonneville 200-mph Club.

"Mad Mike" Martin - As the Customizing Supervisor for Southern California build shop Galpin Auto Sports, "Mad Mike" has more than 25 years of industry experience under his belt. Known best for his role on the TV show Pimp My Ride, he is currently working with the U.S. Air Force to build a custom 2009 Ford Mustang called the 'X1' and new Dodge Challenger called 'The Vapor' to help with recruiting efforts.

Car Warriors will premiere on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 9 pm ET on Speed network.
