Eyeball Records and Hankook Tire Continue Unique Agreement to Supply Touring Bands With Hankook Rubber

New Jersey Companies Working Together for a Third Year

WAYNE, N.J. June 24, 2009 - Hankook Tire America Corp., manufacturer of ultra-high performance passenger, SUV, truck and bus tires, has announced the renewal of their unique promotional partnership with New Jersey-based Eyeball Records, to supply musicians from Eyeball Records with new tires for their touring vehicles when the bands hit the road.

Eyeball Records has a roster of 16 professional bands that embark on consistent national tours. Over the past three years, bands from Eyeball Records have literally travelled to every corner of the United States on Hankook tires?from Tupelo to Duluth, to Seattle and Boston. Part of the partnership includes cross promotion between both companies, including Hankook brand exposure on the label and band’s website, Facebook and MySpace sites.

“It’s fantastic that we have continued this relationship,” said Marc Debiak, General Manger, Eyeball Records. “Musicians are on the road constantly and usually at crazy hours, we really appreciate that our bands will be on new Hankook tires that will help them get to their shows and back home safely. I’m sure their family and fans will appreciate it too.”

“It’s a huge help,” said Jamison Covington of the band E for Explosion. “Aside from saving money and the comfort of knowing we’re on brand new tires, the best part is knowing that someone has enough faith in bands like us to help support the building of our careers.”

“Being musicians, it really helps to have a company who knows how dependent a band is on their van.” said Dean Stafford, from the group Pompeii. “The tires have proved more than roadworthy and we certainly spread the word on how awesome the tires are.”

“It’s very difficult for up-and-coming artists to afford the necessities, let alone maintain our vehicles while on tour,” said Giovanni Gianni from the group New Atlantic. “I drove through an insane snow storm in Wisconsin this past winter and I can’t thank Hankook enough for the new tires they donated to us. We’ve driven through some terrible conditions before and had some close calls, our band and even our fans owe a lot to Hankook for helping us get safely to our next stop.”
