Hankook Tire remains at the forefront of cutting-edge track & race tire development by combining state-of-the-art computational designs with the latest materials, all of which are produced in our highly sophisticated tire manufacturing methods & plants. Our racing tires first were produced and introduced in the US in 2003, with the introduction of the Ventus RSS Z211 R-Compound racing tire. From then on, the Hankook Ventus RSS Z211 has set a strong standard, state-side. Since this introduction, Hankook Tire's involvement and investment in motorsports has steadily increased, bringing with this investment podium placing and 1st place wins. The track records prove it.
Since the RSS Z211, we've introduced R-s2 Z212 and the (newest) R-s3 Z222. All of our track/street UHP tires have a common pedigree in high technology engineering, which has a deep heritage with our venerable R-rated semi slick DOT approved tire (the Z214) which has recently been the dominant compound for enthusiasts and pros.
As Hankook Tire expands and increases to display and demonstrate the benefits to our customers, the focus still remains on developing better technologies and better performances, on the track and off. Hankook Tires has introduced top of the line achieving Ultra High Performance and track ready tires, here in America.

The Fastest Time Attack Car in The World
Since 2006, Hankook has been accomplishing track records and podiums in the sport of time attack. The US success has been a long journey, however, bearing much fruit with many positive relationships. It is certainly a grassroots racing movement that had been over-looked, but we at Hankook had seen the positives and benefits in injecting investment into engaging with the sport.
Our time attack campaigns had been in correlation with our compound development of the DOT-R Z214 tire pattern. Throughout the past seasons, the Z214 compound make up had been fantastically durable. This durability had allowed us to tackle, not only time attack, but autocross events throughout the US- each bearing success. This toughness and compound speed has also allowed our drivers and customers to compete at the highest levels.
In 2010, Hankook Tire America continues its venture within the time attack racing realm, strengthening bonds, and participating in our top time attack venues. We’re proud to be a part of the racing passion that our drivers and owners profess and demonstrate in and out of the racing community.

In 2010, we had the privilege to break a 3 year track record at Buttonwillow Speedway, held prior by the HKS vehicle, driven then by NOB, Nobuteru Taniguchi. Since then, Hankook Tire and its sponsored team partners have held on to 5 of the Top 10 fastest track record in Super Lap Battle.
